ABOUT
Artist Statment
My work explores themes of self-realization, love, gratitude, feminism, and the contrasts that shape the human experience.
Through layers of color, symbolism, and texture, I create visual reflections on growth, resilience, connection, and transformation.
Many of my artworks are inspired by the tension between seemingly opposite forces—chaos and clarity, vulnerability and strength, restlessness and inner peace. I believe beauty often emerges from contrast, and that growth begins when we embrace all parts of ourselves.
My hope is that each piece becomes more than decoration: a meaningful reminder of possibility, courage, love, and authenticity.
About the Artist
Hi, I’m Yasmin Ada-Tarsousi, a contemporary artist based in Vienna, Austria.
Growing up between cultures, with Turkish roots, taught me to appreciate different perspectives and the richness that emerges when seemingly opposite worlds meet. This fascination with contrast continues to inspire my work today.
My artistic practice combines abstract textures with figurative elements, creating a visual language that balances emotion, symbolism, and storytelling.
Music plays an essential role in my creative process. It helps me connect with specific emotions, memories, and ideas, often guiding the energy, movement, and atmosphere of each piece.
Through my art, I invite viewers to pause, reflect, and reconnect with themselves and their own journey.
